O Ishtar, queen of all peoples, who guides mankind aright,
O Irnini, ever exalted, greatest of the Igigi,
O mighty of princesses, exalted is thy name.
Thou indeed art the light of heaven and earth, O valiant daughter of Sin.
O supporter of arms, who determines battle,
O possessor of all divine power, who wears the crown of domination,
O Lady, glorious is thy greatness; over all the gods it is exalted.
Let my scattered family be assembled;
May my fold be wide; may my stable be enlarged.
Accept the abasement of my countenance; hear my prayers.
Faithfully look upon me and accept my supplication.

This is my Homepage. There are a couple of links on here that really don't belong to the Mesopotamian catagory, so if you don't care to read those, that's ok, just continue exploring the sections that do interest you. I praise the gods in all aspects of my life.

This is a site dedicated the Sumerian pantheon, and Mesopotamia in general. This site contains texts, rituals, commentary, fiction from the webmistress not the Necronomicon or Sitchen. I work with university taught material only, with a little speculation of my own based on that material. Authors credited are Samuel Noah Kramer, Thorkild Jacobsen, James Pritchard, Black and Green, mainly. Please see the Books page for a continually growing list of my favorite books.
